Video Calling Help on Galaxy S2

Hi,
I just got my Galaxy S2 and it has a fancy little button on my contacts list that simply says "Video Call".
I tap it to call my mother (who also has a video calling enabled phone) but instead of working it just pops up her contact info and immediately says "Call has been lost" and kicks me back to the contacts right away. It hardly even seems like it had enough time to try. Once my front facing camera turned on for a second before it dropped.

Is there something I'm missing here? I can't seem to find any other threads about this on the interwebs so I'm hoping it's something simple I'm overlooking.

Thanks.

It's probably due to the fact that the S2 is pretty new, especially in the states.

Best to put the request in an S2 forum where other S2 users are.

Galaxy S2 video calling only works with other Galaxy S2 phones. Try Tango for video calling, should work fine.

My girlfriend and I have the same issue, she just got her galaxy s2 today and I had mine for 2 weeks now and we cant do video calls other then with skype. The option is there but we get the same pop up and response as the OP. So I think the issue isn't a need to be the same phone. It's gotta be something else.
