Video camera question

Fixing permissions through cwm does not work right now. That and wiping battery stats no workie in cwm. That's why we have the two scripts from Adrynalyne to take care of these. You will notice the difference when you do both. Boot to cwm, fix permissions, and you come back to the menu in 1 or 2 seconds. Fix permissions through the terminal emulator method and you will see a huge list of scrolling text as each permission is fixed. Wipe batt stats in cwm, same result. Wipe batt stats in TE, and phone reboots after it wipes the stats.

It's been an ongoing battle that doesn't need to be brought up again. Hopefully someday soon it will be working again for the fascinate.

got it to work. something weird happend in clockwork after i did dl from sdcard then run it, never gave me option to reboot just kept cyclingn through like made m e run the script a bunch of time choose file u know. had to battery pull from clockwork. then gave me option to reboot in clockwork. just checked to see if camera works as shutter and it does. so hopefully i didnt do something damaging. but it works let me know what happened. THANKS!

I did it in clockwork, however it was weird it has me keep choosing than apply from SD kept looping this. did it like 5 times, never said reboot system, i had to battery pull. then it put me at the reboot in clockwork, so i rebooted and it worked. hope it sticks. can i delete the zipp off my SD card now? or does it need to stay.let me know what happened thanks SHARKY! ty pizza as well

When you are in red cwm, you don't need to do the apply sdcard:update.zip at all, don't touch it. After you flash a zip file in red cwm hit either the menu soft key or the search soft key to go back one menu page. Keep hitting it until you are back at the main red cwm menu page where reboot system now will be highlighted at the top of the page, then power button to reboot.

Yep. Once it is working again, I'm sure it will be posted all over the forums as it will make things much easier.

You dont need the theme to get the camera working in 2.92, just the camera mod found in this post: http://forum.androidcentral.com/ver...s-combined-resource-3-26-11-a.html#post745519

Thanks pizzadude! Got it working. Now i no longer have that irritating "lock" come up on my screen when i press the power button ....the shutter actually works now.

Im running 2.9.2 doesnt work my man....

I'm on SC 2.9.2 and have Nitor's ultimate honeycomb and the power button works as a shutter button for me
