Ok, I am wondering if anyone can help me here, or point me in the direction of a site that has helpful people.
I am looking for a way to get higher quality movies on my EVO. So I can play them through the hdmi out. I am having issues with the movies that are higher def that I get because I have to change them to compatible formats.
Most of them are .avi files. 720p stuff would be great to have and I haven't tried 480p rips to see what the quality is. I haven't been able to get either the file size down or the encode of the movie to the correct format without issues. ex:No sound, sound out of synch, video quality jacked. etc.
Tried using handbrake but the quality usually isnt that great and it takes forever. Still playing with the settings.
I tried using Xvid4PSP and that encodes really fast but I have audio issues.
I tried using the Rockplayer to play .avi files but it will not output the images through the hdim.
Any suggestions would be great.
