Is there a list of video formats I can play on my EVO? Does it support Xvid/Divx?

Convert them to WHAT?

Hate to be a nag, but no one in this thread has addressed the specific question that lots of us noobs are asking. The question is, what video formats are supported by Android? I have used Handbrake to convert video files (AVI, DIVX, QuickTime, DVDs) into iPod format that play perfectly on my iPod Touch, but these formats do not seem to play correctly on my new Droid 2. The only video files I can play are Windows Media (WMV), which really surprised me. Handbrake will convert just about anything to MP4 and MKV, but will NOT convert to WMV.

So, I will ask the question once again. What video formats are supported by Android?

click the link in the second post. below is what i copied from there.

Video
H.263 X 3GPP (.3gp) and MPEG-4 (.mp4)
H.264 AVC X 3GPP (.3gp) and MPEG-4 (.mp4)
MPEG-4 SP X 3GPP (.3gp)

VPlayer Alpha in the market (free) is a godsend. It plays all types of files including xVid and AVI.

RockPlayer will handle avi without problems from what I have found.
