[Video] Overclocking/Undervolting using Quickclock

I started using quick clock when I was on rubix rom(free version on rom). I liked it enough I purchased the Advanced Quick clock version from the market :) . Good video too showing how to do some stuff

great video. anyone using this in conjunction with setpcu? wondering if setpcu is even needed with QC?

I still use setcpu with the advance quick clock . I just set profiles up in setcpu tho and use it to save battery with screen off, battery gets below certain percent , etc tho

yeah thats how i used to use setpcu. ill prob go back to using it also. i used it for battery dropping belwo a certain %, temp dropping below a certain %, and screen off.

If your phone is over clocked right it won't overheat
Your phone runs at the lowest CPU setting whrn the screen is off anyway
Your phone runs at the lowest setting probably +70% of the time

I have SetCPU but no longer bother with it

Also when SetCPU is checking and querying the CPU all the time it is burning battery...rather self defeating.

+2

I definitely recommend Setcpu w/ Advanced Quick Clock. My phone has never ran faster with this app and Liberty v.1.5. At the fastest, I can clock my phone to 1406. Crazy speed.

Does QuickClock have Setcpu type settings? Like screen off and scaling on demand?

NO because that program is totally unnecessary unless you are running the crap out of your phone.

And even then...Let say you are. You are on a trip running the GPS, Pandora, while texting with your friend (you are not driving)

What do you think is smarter? Having a program check ever few seconds on a list of profiles based on CPU speed OR running an overclock, or in this case an underclock profile, to stretch your phones battery life out out.

Do a simple test. Turn off setCPU for a day and see if your battery life does not go UP. Back when I was running "rough" overclock settings I did worry about overheating and things but it is i set right it is not an issue.

You phone runs at 300Mhz most of the time download System Info and look for yourself there is no reason to make a setCPU profile for it.

Here my phone is overclocked to 1.1Ghz, it has been running almost 12 hours and the only time the phone was running hard is when I was playing Angry birds. The rest of the time 300 mhz

WOW, that's very interesting, and this is without SetCpu running. I'm gonna try this for a few days without SetCpu. Where could we find this info found in your screen shots? EDIT. just saw the "download SYSTEM INFO". Is there any other way to check out this info on your phone other than SYSTEM INFO WIDGET?
