Video quality on 4k tv

Has anyone had any joy displaying a 4k video recorded on their s10 in their TV?

I recorded some footage recently that I cast to my TV but the quality is terrible! Double checked settings on TV and its definitely 4k. The video on my phone looks amazing but terrible when casting.

I also moved the files to my laptop and it still looks terrible there.

Am I doing something wrong??

Casting generally lowers the quality. Try moving to a hard line and see what happens

Just tested on mine, looks fairly good, way better than my note 8. Opened up a 4k movie, not perfect but really nice. It might be your connection speed. How exactly are you casting?

Probably want to move the file from your phone to a USB stick or external hard drive and check the quality that way. Becuause 4K videos are rather large I would assume that casting the video compresses it, direct playback should be much better.
