video refocusing issue

Not sure if this was already discussed but does anyone else notice the constant refocusing when taking a video ?is this a common problem?

Yes, it is common. The refocusing isn't constant, but it refocuses more than it should. You can try touching the area you want to focus on once the recording has begun. That might help. Also try reducing the exposure to - 1 to help the overall exposure. That might not help the focusing, but it might make your video look better.

touching to focus doesn't help at all because it constantly tried to refocus that single area everytime something moves in the picture in general. Jishnu over on xda is working on that part of his camera mod next.

I wait for an update of course.
But so far I use the beta focal.apk ( Play store)
It makes a total pieceful video! No breathing focus.
Try also Super camera or snap camera.

I tried Focal but it Force Closes every time I try to take a photo. How did you get it to work?

The auto focus and the audio is messed up on the G2. No app is going to fix it, A software update might though.
