Video Sent From iPhone to my Gmail Won't Play on my Phone

My friend sent me a video from her iPhone to my Gmail account but when I try to view it it said "Sorry, this video cannot be played."
It seems to be an mp4 but it's also a MOV file... is that the problem??
The reason she emailed the vid and didn't MMS it is because she's out of the country.

My wife has an iPhone and I can't play movies she sends me either. The .mov file format is the problem.

I haven't checked but you may be able to find an app that will allow you to play .mov files on an Android device.

I think vlc has a mobile app and it usually plays everything
