video/voice recorder - hissing

I just thought I would try using the voice recorder and then recorded a short video. When playing back both the voice and video recording, I noticed there was a lot of background hissing without any actual noise in the background. Has anyone else noticed this? It is much more obvious than I remember with my previous phones.

I just compared a video captured on my phone (M8) to a video captured on a friends M7 (same conditions), and there is no real audible hissing when playing back the video recorded on the M7. Is it possible for someone with an M8 to do a test? Basically when capturing a video with no background noise, there is a distinct and loud hissing sound when playing the video back. Not sure if it is an issue with my phone, or the M8 in general? Cheers.
