I've been using an FM transmitter to listen to the music from my Z3 via my car stereo. For some reason, my Z3 doesn't recognise the transmitter when I plug it into the headphone socket, but thanks to the SoundAbout app, I can override the sound options and force it to output via the headphone socket. All is fine, the normal Play Music app, Spotify etc all come through fine this way.
When I was sat waiting on a mate, I tried playing a video while using the FM transmitter and the volume was nearly non existent. Netflix and YouTube are almost listenable, though only with phone and stereo both turned full, but for any videos stored local, even with phone volume and stereo volume at full, speech was barely audible. I've tried through the native file manager video player, VLC, and MX Player and all have the same issue.
Can anyone offer up and suggestions? Is it an issue with SoundAbout maybe? Or down to whatever audio codes is used for videos compared to music?
