videos in the image gallery

Is it possible for the image gallery not to show the videos (movies and TV shows) that I have stored on my sd card? There is a setting to hide items but it does not work on the videos stored on my card.

I tend to store a lot of movies on my card and don't want them cluttering up my picture gallery.

Install Quickpic. It's much faster than the stock gallery and you can exclude folders.

I have done a search on forums and the web for a resolve for the same issue.
No replies to my questions though so I assume there is no resolve for this issue.

Put the videos in a new folder and name it something with a period at the front. Something like ".Movies", this will make your gallery overlook it and nothing in that folder will show up in gallery. So that's where you can put all your porn, I mean movies.

You used to be able to create a new file in Windows.. Just a random file and title it something like "nomedia" or ".nomedia" I know for certain one of those used to work.

Got round to putting the "." in front of my series and now I dont see them in the gallery, unfortunately my video player cannot see them either.

You have to access them directly with a file manager.
