Viewing photos while in camera app:

This came up in another thread. The reply confirmed I've got an issue, but I'd like some advice on how to fix it:

When I take a picture, I can't view it from the camera screen. In KitKat, when I took a pic a thumbnail appeared allowing easy viewing. In lollipop, I have to "slide" sideways to get to my pictures, and even then, they load chronologically so my oldest photo is first. Meaning the new one is at the end of the grouping.

Is there a setting that at least will get me to the most recent photo first?

That is strange... When I take a picture and swipe to the left, it shows the newest shot first, and then proceeds chronologically towards the oldest.
