I was at a local Target store in their electronics dept, when I noticed there were no Virgin Mobile, or Boost phones. Nothing related to either division.
I asked the dept. mgr, and she said all the Target stores are remiving these items before the end of the month.

Any Ideas what is going on ?

I was at Target yesterday and they still had the VM display. They even had the iPhone. Could be the Target stores in your area aren't carrying them anymore. The Walmarts in my area stopped carrying Virgin several years back, though Walmart stores in other markets carry them.

That could be true. I went by the local walmart and they too had taken down both the virgin mobile and boost display and all the top-up cards. I went by the local radio shack and both were still there. The manager did say they would probably be gone by the end of this month. o_O may have to check into simple mobile.

Does simple mobile have unlimited data? Thinking about going to that or T-Mobile prepaid

"StraightTalk will not “throttle” you, they’ll simply cut you off if they feel you’re abusing your “unlimited” plan. The general concensus of what “abuse” means sounds like it’s 100MB per day and 2GB per month. I don’t know this first-hand, just from what I’ve been researching from what others have said."

If your talking about the straight talk there are better deals. Like T-mobiles $30 plan 100 minutes unlimited text and data. 5 GB of 4g. If you are a talker and have 4G in your area you could get almost unlimited talk time with GrooVe IP (4266 minutes = 71.1 hours = 2.9625 days! If you only use your data for calls) Google Voice for your phone!

why is everyone whining about VM? its just fine

For me its because i dont like paying for something i only can use in SOME places and paying for data that i cant use off wifi. If you live in an area with good or updated sprint service good for you but untill sprints network vision is all rolled out at the end of next year we are all use paying for phones that we cant use! Plus with spints track record we would be looking at network vision not being done till 2014 mid year at the best!

Not going to have yet another thread full of Virgin users who...for some reason, decide to bash Virgin.

I've said it countless times, what works well for you might not work for others, and the opposite also applies.

As far as Virgin phones being removed from your local Target, it is probably just a regional thing.
