Anyone been having alot of 1x or bad reception?

I live in Philadelphia, and I don't know if it's just me, but I have alot of 1x and 0-1 bar reception since early yesterday.

I live off of 1 bar of 3G that isn't too bad.... I've lost reception while typing this and I'm posting it on one bar of 3G.

Normally I grt 1-3. Recently its 0-1, and no 3G. Data connects late and all 1x.

Sounds like Sprint is doing some hardcore Network Vision work in your area. It's what happened in the area my work was at for about two weeks before they finished it last weekend and suddenly I was pulling 500-600k as opposed to 80-100k. But that's the core part of their work. Then they spend about another 2 weeks tweaking it or so (which means sometimes you might lose SMS every now and so). When they're done, you're supposed to consistently pull between .80 mbps and 1.75 mbps with a ping between 80ms and 150ms with at least 3 bars.

I went through the same thing. After they finally completed their upgrades, these are my average data speeds.

Same problem here. Live in the GA. outside atlanta. This is the second time I've had this problem. 3g goes in and out. At 1x I get full
bars. On 3g I get one bar. A little POed about it.

Those are past results, looks like he has been running almost one a day to see average total speed.

Ohhh. Ok. I just understood it. Hopefully its over soon. Apart from that, the hurricane is bringing a lot of clouds and rain, killing my signal as well.


My optimis V could barely send messages without getting failed.

Baaah. Still I'm getting nothing but 1x. No 3G. Reception keeps going to 0. Don't know what they're doing.....

Living near the Washington DC area and I've had 3g bounce in and out a bit, bit when my wife's and daughters phones lost all signal my outdated but reliable ov was still holding on and able to keep everyone in contact.

Just hope everyone effected by the storm is managing well and able to check on loved ones.
