virtuous affinity 1.48 issues

I have been running virtuous affinity for a few days now....last night i had a problem with the volume on my phone it was way to loud for me....tried to turn it down but didnt work....and this morning i couldnt receive a mms ..... is there a way to fix these issues? has anyone else had these issues as well? or does anyone have any suggestions that would work just as well...love sense 3.5 and the face that virtuous hasnt slapped their name all over it .....

Download APN Backup and Restore from the market. Delete your old APNs and restore them with the new ones (unzip file). That should fix MMS for you. I never had problems with volume though.

total newbie here.....i have tried that and it doesnt seem to work.....i have dl'ed the zip file...on my computer.....have dl'ed apn backup and restore on my phone.....go to my sd card on my phone via disc drive after unzipping vzwapns.zip i place it in the apnbackuprestore file on my sd card.....then have deleted the old apn file via computer and via apn.....restored the new apn and rebooted phone....still nothing....where am i screwing up or am i just missing something
