so far, moved all phones to Bing search, no further virus popup since.

All the virus popup has been followed Google Search in multiple different brand phones, factory reset, all happened repeatedly again, during Google Research.

We do NOT understand why Google has willing to even look at the virus URL.
So, we recommend everybody to AVOID google search and will not get virus popup.

We received email from a major Android/iphone app CTO. They are investigating this same Android inflicted virus popup. He is 99% certain this virus is caused by Google originated material.

If I am top executives at Google, all alarm bell should sounded.
However, knowing how arrogant those Google guys are, we will sit and see how bad it’s going to play out.

Do you have Kaspersky?

Fake virus alerts are common, such as these. Adware served up by ad servers.

Not really google fault.

Run Malwarebytes.

after replaced google chrome search and changed our search to yahoo and bing, no further virus pop up.

posted virus pop up encounter notices on Google Chrome search, heard nothing from Google.

Google has though taken a more agressive stance on flagging sites. Maybe malware authors hope to cash in on fake alerts.

Still feel safer without chrome and using Ghostery.
