I was hoping the Pixel would be similar size to the Nexus 5 (which I am still rocking) and it looks likes it's close, but a tad larger.. I had and returned the 5X after a week because it was just to large...

Here is a size comparison between the Nexus 5, the Pixel and the Nexus 5X...

It would have been nice if they kept a similar design to the Nexus 5... That was a nice phone.

Love my Nexus 5... I replaced the battery a year ago and it's still going strong! I am going to keep it as a backup once the Pixel arrives..

The Pixel looks to be in-between the 5 and the 5X.. I would have LOVED it if it were closer to the size of the 5 but I think I can deal with it being a little larger...

Thanks for that. I too returned a 5x for being too big. Hope the pixel feels at least iphone 6ish

Even worse, for me, I just can't get over how awesome the bezels were on LG's Nexus 5. Look at that. It was so pleasing to look at, PLUS felt amazing in the hand. Just a perfect fit for the average guy's hand, I think. The LG G2 and G3 fit great too, and are ever-so-slightly larger. Anything larger than the G3's screen is just a little too large to be "perfect" for me, but I still rock them (i.e I used the G4, Blackberry Priv, and the 6P which is enormous).

I think the 5" Pixel will be a good fit for those of us who miss the Nexus 5's size. The 5X missed the ball on that one.

But, again, MAN...I can't get over it; look at the bezel difference. It's ridiculous, almost ugly :(
(I still want one really, really bad though! Hahaha)

Bezels? What's that? - Samsung Whatever Edge user :P
Hehehe (Sorry, couldn't resist :P)

Pun aside, yeah, those top/bottom bezels are humongous.

Man, I'd really like one of these...just hung up on the ridiculous pricing. Ugh.

Does anyone else think that the visual comparison makes the 5X skinnier than it is?

FWIW: The Pixel's dimension is for it's thickest point (Google's site lists it as 8.5mm, not 8.58), and the 5X's dimension doesn't include the camera bump. The Pixel starts at 7.3mm at the bottom - I wonder how that'll feel in practice, but the image above doesn't look like it show much of a taper (to me).
