I'm looking for a lower priced 7-8" tablet to surf the web, email, etc.

I have narrowed it down to the Vizio 8" VTAB1008 for $198 or the Lenovo Ideapad A1 7" for $229. They both seem to have similar specs, so I'm not sure if the Lenovo is worth the extra $30 or not.

Anyone have any experience with either of these or can lend some expertise?

Thanks!

I don't know anything about the Lenovo. As for the Vizio tablet, there is this:

I bought a Vizio tablet from Costco for $189 about a week or so ago. I haven't used it much as I intend for to be a instructional tool for my son. The interface (launcher) is very different than what I'm used to (I have an Optimus S). After reading some reviews on Amazon, I decided to download Launcher Pro from the Market. It works quite well on the tablet and is more like my phone.

I have not had a chance to test out some of the features and apps, like GPS and Netflix. No problems getting it to connect to WiFi at home or work. The 'Remote Control' app was easy to configure and works well. Can't really comment yet on battery life.

Thanks for the info!

After some more research I am finding that the Vizio along with the Lenovo and some other tablets cannot run Skype video properly. Hopefully it is something that corrected in the near future as this is a mandatory requirement for me.
