Vizio Co-Star remote question

i just received my Co-Star yesterday and the setup was going quick and easy until i got to the part where you program the remote to control the directtv box. i put in my model number HR23-700 and tried all the codes but it would not work. does anybody have any suggestions that could help me

Try resetting both the directv box and the costar box and start over.

I just figured it out. i had to go into my settings on my directtv receiver and change the remote setting to IR
