Vliingo not working in text

Here's my problem. I open texting, click in a field, keyboard pops up, touch microphone for voice entry of text and the vliingo box comes up with the slash across it so I'm unable to enter any spoken text. I don't see any options in the text messaging client that I can toggle to solve this. Any ideas?
