After all the praise I've given to VM for providing such a wonderful phone and providing such a generous phone plan.....They April fools me!?!?
My plan restarts on the 1st of the month. I have my account filled with enough cash using top-up cards to last me months. I paid for my April 1st bill on the 3rd of March!!!! And what happens at the stroke of midnight? My data plan stops and my browser is redirected to VM. To make matters worse, their account management website was down. I had to wait two hours for their website to go back up. Once I logged into my account, I pressed reset my account. Even though it showed "$25 monthly plan" on the reset page and implied that I was going to be charged, it didn't recharge me. It just "reset" my plan....for the same start date as before...and bingo, my data plan works again.
Had I not noticed this, I may have gone the whole day tomorrow without voip. Searching online, this doesn't look like a new problem. The easiest way around it seems to be to wait until after midnight, after your data plan has been frozen, and then pay. Otherwise you can pay early, but you have to reset your plan manually on the reset day anyways. I guess VM doesn't like it when you pay early. Must be a tax thing
