Voice command with call and message not working

[Android Central Question]

I keep trying to send a message or make a call through android auto on my phone. It keeps on saying "I think you want to send a message(or make a call) is that right?" I say yes and it says who then it says "sure let me get some more info so I can help you with that. Tap the notification on your device to continue." There are no notifications on my device. This issue started just a few days ago. I have Uninstalled, reinstalled, rebooted and no help. I have an Samsung Note 9 and drive and Infiniti. Has anyone else had this problem?

Is this a stock radio?
You check to see if AA is updated to the latest?

Ahh.. Android Auto, Google's red headed stepchild lol. I don't even bother with it, I'm not interested enough to set it up and fight the good fight

I'll say one thing though, if you get it working the way you like DON'T update it ever again on your phone or head unit
