Voice commands not working.

When I press the little mic button on the keyboard, the voice recognition screen pops up, then says server error. Any ideas?

Make sure your volume is turned up and if it already is, have you rebooted the phone yet?

Volume is up and I just rebooted. Still same error message.

Does a voice search work if you hold down the search button for about 1 second?

What keyboard are you seeing this in and have you tried any others? My guess is that it's related to a specif keyboard not running so well on froyo (as it related to the voice part of the keyboard app).

I have tried multi touch and smart keyboard. Same problem with both of them.

Sounds like another random bug that has come with these bad boys.


Time to take a trip to VZW and get it swapped for another......that'll undoubtedly have a different problem
