I'm new to Android. I've been using iPhone for several years. I know that there's a way to use voice command like Siri to make a phone call, but I don't know how to do it. How can I simply pick up my phone and say "call John"?

Hold down the home button. It will launch Google now. Slide up and towards the left (you will see the microphone) then you can speak. Or another option is to open Google then say ok Google and you can tell the phone what to do. Ex call jim, find me a pizza place, what will the weather be tomorrow etc.

I discovered a helpful one today..."create calendar event..." and it sets up an appointment with notification in your Google Calendar.
