Voice mail icon not showing!

Anybody know why this might happen? Checked that all of my notifications are on. I get my other icons, ie mail, updates etc.
I went to Verizon and got a new sim put in but still no VM icon appears.
Any ideas on how to solve this?

Are you using an alternate solution (like Google Voice or Visual Voice mail, etc)?
Other than some 3rd party application causing a conflict I can't think of a reason this might be happening.
Have you tried the usual troubleshooting steps?
1. Restart phone
2. Shut down/battery pull
3. Last resort - factory reset

Delete any visual voice mail apps that may be on your phone. Go to Android Market, and download the visual voice mail app for Verizon. That should do it

Dial your voicemail (*86). Go to main menu. Press 4 to change personal options. Press 1 to turn it off then back on. Worked like a charm for me!
