Voice mail (Verizon) hasn't been setup all this time?

My girlfriend got an s5 recently and apparently her voicemail hasn't been setup since she's had it. Found out when she realized she hadn't had a vm in a while. Isn't this usually seamless? What changed? Why would she need to set it up again, new pascode and everything like she never used it before.

I believe you're referring to the visual vm that verizon is pushing. Basic is free once setup, advanced is monthly subscription

Nowhere on the phone or in the voicemail (*86) prompt does it mention visual voicemail. She's been missing calls since March because of this.

She had to create a new pascode. With my note 4, I never experienced this.
