Voice Notes with screen locked

Hello all,

I wonder if the following is possible:
My Note 2 is screen locked with a numeric key. I want to do the following:
The phone is locked. I pick up the phone, press a physical button (say, volume), say something, release the button. What I said is recorded (some voice note app). All this, without having unlocked the phone.

Is that possible? Any suggestions?

It may not be as easy as just pushing a button, but you could use a lockscreen replacement and enable widgets and put a shortcut to s voice or Google.

Thank you. I will do some research on your suggestion. I still hope there is also a trick that will do exactly what I want.
