Voice on turn by turn no longer announces street names

For some odd reason the turn by turn navigation no longer announces street names. I still get the voice telling me when to turn but she no longer says the name of the street.

Any ideas how to fix this?

That's strange because mine still says street names. I suggest doing a soft reset. If that doesn't work then a hard reset...you will have to do these steps should you call Verizon. I had an app go wonky when I was using the Rezound and factory reset fixed it. Its an inconvenience but it should do the trick

You could try deleting the cache and data for Google Maps. That might cure the problem.

If not be prepared to do a full factory reset should you contact Verizon tech support.

Try "Waze" from the app store. I think it is a lot better for a GPS than Google maps are.

It turns out that I'm missing the TextToSpeech files. I looked at my wife's TTS settings and she has both Google and Samsung TTS files. I have neither.

I can't find any way to restore them short of a factory reset. However, I did download Ivana TTS which works but I don't like the voice at all.

I had suggested soft reset or factory reset earlier. It will fix it. This is a mini computer and can get hiccups! I know it's an inconvenience but if you aren't happy with the current status then do it!
