Voice recognition not working while connected in car dock since Kit Kat

I used the Google Keyboard.
Voice to text works great until I put my phone in the Motorola Car Dock.
When I push the voice button I get Unable to connect Google (or something close to that)
I do not use Bluetooth

It all worked fine before the kit kat upgrade.

I just finally got around to KK on my RMHD and have just discovered the same issue. If I pull out of the dock everything works again. The network status doesn't change. Frustrating!
