Voice recognition

How come when I train Google Assistant to recognize my voice it only knows my voice when saying OK Google, and not when squeezing the sides? ie., if I squeeze the sides and make a request I'm expected to tap the fingerprint sensor or enter my PIN for Assistant to continue. If my voice is good enough to unlock the phone, how come it's not good enough to continue with Assistant?

The voice is trained to your voice model while saying "OK Google" -- not for just overall talking.
