Voicemail not working

I do not get voicemails when I miss a call. I do get an email with voice to text.

You won't get a voicemail if no message has been left. Have you set up voicemail with your carrier?

Sounds like a setting in your phone if they're leaving a voicemail and you're just getting it as text with no option to listen to audio. Have you checked yet to see if you can change that to come through both ways?
I don't have voice to text option enabled (believe it costs another monthly fee on Verizon) so I can't check that.
