Is it just me? Or does the voicemail number change not save for everyone!?

Phone->Settings->Voicemail->Advanced Settings->Setup->Voicemail Number

I change it to *86,#### so my password is auto entered when I dial voicemail, and it says "Voicemail number changed" when I press OK. It works perfectly when I go to phone and dial my voicemail, then it enters the code and I get to play messages.

When I go back to the Voicemail Number option it has my saved password code, so it's all good. But, when I turn my phone off then back on it's back to default *86.

Come on man, this is just mean.. :(
Is there some other song and dance I have to do for it to save my password?

What carrier are you with?

What does the carrier have to do with it? The OS deletes my change after a reboot.
I received v8.1.0 the other day and it still does it. A nasty bug that needs to be reported, somehow.

Speaking of bugs, don't get me started on the 'Ok Google' wake up voice recognition bug. Sometimes it starts correctly and listens to my voice, other times it shows the non-moving dots and doesn't listen, and other times it just sits there with a picture of a microphone not listening. Version 8 OS is definitely not ready for user consumption. But this bug is for another thread.

On my carrier (Verizon, in the US) I don't have to configure anything - no number or passcode to enter.
It's possible that you need to contact your carrier to configure things on their end. It's hard to say since you didn't identify your carrier; perhaps someone else on that carrier could provide supporting information about their experience.

So I suppose the only "fix" is to remove the passcode from my voice mail, so anyone dialing it can hear my messages? Since v8.1.0 is broke, I guess that's my ONLY option.
