Voicemail problem

My notification bar states I have a voicemail in my box. When I call...the prompt states that I have no messages. I'm rooted running liquid beta5. The rom flashes with Google voice. I've tried switching the voicemail from Google voice to carrier and have had no luck. What can I do to hear this voicemail message? Rid myself of this problem.

What you need to do is go into menu > settings> applications> manage applications>, select all apps then scroll to voicemail, open it and click clear data.

was having a similar problem after getting a new sim card for the GSM Galaxy Nexus.

In my phone, I went to:

SETTINGS > APPS > ALL > PHONE > CLEAR DATA

that seemed to clear the notification. Hope this helps.
