My S10+ had the ability to toggle vibrate from the volume button, once at zero you could give it another tap to toggle vibration. This was convenient as you could put the phone down on a desk and not have it making a horrible buzzing noise. On the S21 Ultra this seems to have been removed.

I've found the sound modes but I'm still a little confused on how they work, There is Sound, Vibrate, and Mute. Sound and Vibrate both seem to do the same thing when the volume is all the way down. And if I choose mute the volume key still seems to function. The only options I can find all seem to involve many steps.

Is there any secret trick? It seems like a dumb idea for them to have removed that option.

That option is still available, i just checked. Do you have the volume control for media or for the ringtone?

If you have it for the media, went you cycle the volume you have to touch the ringtone and then change the volume so it can go from sound>vibrate>muted.

Its easier if you dont have media to control volume. But its there.

Wow, thank you! It was that simple. :D Media and not ringtone was the default volume key setting.

Actually, now I'm not sure that was it. The volume button won't mute the vibration setting. The best it will do is turn vibration on when volume is down. The only way I can see to do it is through the notifications panel or expanding out the settings. The volume button will bump out of vibration mute but not turn it back to muted.

Is this Android 11 or One UI?

I may need to disable notification vibrations permanently. Hopefully I'm just missing something still. :)
