Volume control after Android update does not work properly

Hey guys,
I updated my Android last night and ever since the volume control buttons adjust only the Media volume. Everything else I have to manually change from the Sound Settings. I'm pretty sure that the issue is with the update since I noticed it immediately after.
Please let me know if there is a fix or if they are planning on fixing it soon. It's very inconvenient.

If you notice this after the update, I would suggest factory reset.

Do you get any settings/cog icon after you press the volume keys? If so, tap it and see if you get more options. Something similar to my screenshot.

I do. I go to settings and I can adjust the different volume options with the sliders, but this is very inconvenient. The volume controls on the side used to be for global volume control, not just media.

Try in safe mode if it still happening.

Last step is to try factory reset.

Was this a major system version upgrade? It's standard in Pie for the Volume button to adjust the Media volume by default. It should change to adjusting your Call volume only when you're in a call.
