Is there a way to increase the volume output on the EVO. It takes all the volume from my truck and still its not as loud as my ipod.

Sounds more to me whatever stereo you're using in your truck is awful, and is basically not amplifying the signal properly. If I were to plug it into my car's radio, I don't have to turn it up any louder than an FM station. (In fact, I'd probably blow my poor little speakers in my car if I turned it all the way up)

I use my Evo in my truck and it sounds as good as the ipod.. no problems here using the six cable, maybe its your phone?

Sent from my Sprint Evo (no, it's *not* an iPhone 4, it gets a signal).

Yeah, I just tried it out today. I could feel the speaker, but I couldn't hear it too well except when I put it on the loudest volume level. However, the headphone output is pretty decent. Accidentally put it on full blast and I couldn't hear the bass on anything for a day lol.

It only has to do with music everything else is ok. Also it makes no difference if I turn up the volume up onthe EVo. Not like my IPod where if I turn up the volume on Ipod it raises volume on truck radio.

Evo's headphone output is humble compared to what my iPhone was capable of.

What app are you useing? I noticed this when I use Last FM. All of their songs are streamed (or the app plays it) at a low volume. Use the VU meter live wallpaper while playing a song and you will see what I mean. I gotta have the EVO volume maxed and in my car for loud volume, I gotta crank it all the way up to around 80% volume. Which is insane.... (My car has a 210w 7 speaker Pioneer audio system) Useing my Sansa View mp3 player with volume maxed, I can never push my system above maybe 45% otherwise I risk going deaf.

However, If I'm playing music with perhaps Slacker or the local mp3 audio app, the volume is much better. Again, use the VU meter live wallpaper with the different programs and see what I mean. With those, I don't have to crank my system up nearly as high.

The EVO's volume output seems fairly comparable to my Sansa View mp3 player and my wifes ipod nano. But only if the app allows the songs to play at full volume levels. Last FM certainly does not...

EVO works like a champ in my 08 Maxima, completely stopped using my iPod Touch, sorry for ya bro.
