Volume problems with Samsung S20?

[Android Central Question]

I installed the latest Samsung software android 10 last night for my Samsung S20 phone and since then each time I plug my headphones in the volume automatically turns itself up to the highest setting and then down again continuously which is extremely annoying. I'm thinking it might be a problem with the software as I didn't have this problem before. Is anyone else having the same problem? Does anyone have any solutions?

Try with a different set of headphones if possible

Toggle the ringer switch off and on. When an app suddenly goes rogue, it usually encounters an error and therefore needs a quick refresh
Restart the phone
Disable all Bluetooth connections
Restore default settings
Factory reset/Master reset.
