Volume Rocker gets stuck in vibrate

Has anyone noticed that when putting the screen to sleep, you can sometimes hit the volume rocker at the same time? And if you were in silent mode that puts your phone into vibrate; then when you press the power button to wake up your screen, the phone just vibrates non-stop.

I don't know. I just tried my best to duplicate this and my phone never did vibrate non-stop.

so you have your phone in silent. then concurrently press the power and volume down. then press the power button again to wake up. then swipe down to unlock. I keep trying it and it's doing it every time. My phone is completely stock if that changes anything for you.

yeah, happened to me one or two times, but I can't duplicate the results everytime, so who knows, i just lock and unlock the screen again and it stops

Yeah. Tried it 3 times and it never did that. Mine is stock too.

Doesn't work for me. Although volume down/up turns on the display (mod).

I put it to vibrate then pushed down and power and it did it. Had it happen before a long time ago by accident. Silent and power do it too.

Yeah happens to me too. Atleast 2 times a day. Verizon thinks I'm crazy. But its an issue. Cause not only does my volume turn all the way up or down. My screen stays on the whole time. Then when you unlock it the volume moves. I just got a new one less than a week ago and it does the same.

Yep mine does it. Noticed it about a week ago. If I hold the down volume button to long it will stick and keep vibrating.

Mine never did it like that. Only if I hit volume down and power when going to vibrate. Won't do it now. Ah, the beauties of rooting.

Ah! I was wondering if this was just my phone that does this...

Yep. Happens here too! I didn't know what causes this but it happens every so often. I tried what you said causes yours to vibrate and was able to replicate it only once out of like 10 tries but still, it does happen to every once in a while to my TBolt and I end up pressing all kinds of buttons and eventually it stops. More of an annoyance than anything.

The same thing happens to me too. Just another quirk I guess.

I use Volume Locker app to make sure my volume settings get set back to normal.

My just did right now and made me think of this thread. Never happend before had to unlock the screen and hit the volume rocker to make it stop

Mine did it rooted as well.

Mine does it sometimes. I will turn it to vibrate and instead of the quick little vibrate, it vibrates non-stop until I tap the volume up or down again.
