Volume

I was excited that the speaker finally got moved from the rear to the bottom, but somehow the sound quality/volume is worse than my Note 4.

I used the same exact audio file for my alarm as I used on my Note 4, but it's noticeably not as loud. I've been procrastinating on buying a small, inexpensive BT speaker for my nightstand for like 3 years now so this might finally give me the motivation I need.

They may seem louder ,but there not, the note 8 had the best audio of any galaxy in the past ,test can be seen on YouTube

There's no "seem" about it. The alarm on my Note 4 is most definitely louder. I can sit at my kitchen table and lay both phones on the table and watch the same video or listen to the same song and the Note 4 speaker is louder. I can play the same game on both phones and the game volume on the Note 4 is louder. Maybe I got a bum speaker. Who knows?

The speaker is the absolute least important feature on a phone anyway, at least for me and my needs, so it really isn't a big deal.

My volume was low while playing a game or watching media and when I tried to turn it up (using the volume buttons) "In-call volume" is the only control I get. I pulled the drop down and all my volumes are at full. I also made sure the phone app wasn't open in the background.

I have to restart the phone in order to "reset" that and give me control of media volume.

Has anyone else had this happen?
