VPN Cisco question

I'm for a suggestion for access for VPN / IPSec for use on a Cisco system. I would like to access my Lotus notes email and it appears Lotus Notes Traveler app will never be approved

I tried that, but my companies IT police frowned on forwarding other than for Vac only. That's way I thought VPN would be helpful . I'm not digging carrying 2 phones
