VS985 CM13 Cell Network

In the settings, I can select a network type I want to use from a list of (I'm assuming) every type. Which should I choose for best speed/coverage? By default it's on global which is CDMA/EvDo/LTE/GSM/WCDMA, and everything works. I do notice though, that I receive and send texts very slowly, it seems to be instant for everyone I know with other phones. Is this just how the G3 (or maybe Verizon model specifically?) is, or is it due to me not having the right network type selected? If you don't have CM13 on your VS985, but think you may know the answer, I can post a list of all the choices but I'd rather not since it's so long.

Check the APN and make sure it's still Verizon's APN.
