I took the plunge and tried the one click method to root my fascinate. It pushes the files to my phone and restarts it but when I turn off the media sync the force close message pops up for my VZ Nav, after that when I push any key to continue there is no response. What did I do wrong?

how do I put the files on the base of my sd card?

plug your phone into the computer, slide the notification bar down, click the USB notice, select mount,,,,then go to your computer, click start, click computer then select the new drive that shows up which is your sdcard, then you drag the files into that window

Well I somehow muddled my way through the rooting process. It took a little while but finally did it.Thanks for the help. Any suggestions on what do with my newly rooted fascinate? (and how to do it?)

You did through the way I suggested?

I didn't think I would be able to do it, but I just decided to for it and it worked out. Your instructions were very easy to understand. Thanks again.

Ok so now I'm stuck again. I downloaded the DL09 supah clean 04 rom and the stupidfast-v1.54 kernel to my computer and was going to put them on my sd card and switch using rom manager. When I mount the USB my computer isn't finding my phone now that I'm rooted. Is this the correct procedure to installing and using roms and kernels?
I'm having a little bit of a tough time learning all of this stuff but I can't seem to get enough of it.

Put it in debugging mode, plug the phone in and while the phone is plugged in restart the phone. After it restarts you should be able.to mount and transfer the files to the sd card....then go to clockwork and install from sdcard> choose the zip file and select
