VZ Navigator Force Close

So, I just got my GS4 today, and after an hour of attempting to activate it I am finally up and running. However, now whenever I get a text message the phone lags and then I get a force close message for VZ Navigator. Damn you VZ Navigator. Clearly this is not a program I will be using, but I'm assuming that like all of my other Verizon Android phones there is no way to actually get rid of it short of rooting. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

You can disable it in app settings. Google's navigation app is vastly superior IMO.

oh I was not using it it was just automatically enabled on my phone. I couldn't disable it on my last two phones so I wasn't aware I could on the S4.
