Details in the fine print: bill credit applied in 24 installments totaling full cost of phones (Pixel/XL, S7, iPhone 7, etc),
BUT
only if trading in one of 13 specific relatively new phones (iPhone 6S, Motorola Turbo 2 being the oldest).
Now it makes sense. Other phone trades garner the more typical $200-400 promo values, and the Pixel $10/$20/month offer is without a trade in.
So it isn't just bring in an old flip and get a free phone. Gotta be a phone that still has some value, and in most cases is not yet paid off.
Those VZW guys are pretty sneaky.....
OTOH, my son's iPhone 6 qualified even though it isn't on the approved list, so check to make sure if your non listed phone qualifies ie YMMV
