I have tried two different cases so far, and both have the same issue with my Incredible - The volume up button is apparently completely depressed with the case installed. This is apparent because two things happen: a) I cannot increase the volume by pressing on it (it doesn't even feel like it is clicking) and b) sometimes when I hold it in a certain way the volume will all of a sudden shoot up to max, as if I had pressed and held the volume up button.

Has anyone else had this problem? Since I tried two cases does this mean it's my phone? I really like the case so is there any kind of modification to the case I could make to fix this? (i.e. perhaps shave down some of the plastic on the inside of the volume buttons)

Interesting, first time I hear of this issue. I'm still looking at my options regarding a case for my DInc., so I can't really comment on this, but it would be useful to know if other people have the same problem with the VZW case.

Yeah I would think we would hear about this more, since so many people on here comment that they love this exact case. I'm going to swing by VZW and see if they have any ideas, but ain't no way I'm going to RMA the phone for something like this. I think shaving down the inside of the button might help but I don't want to do that and still be stuck with a case that doesnt work AND is unreturnable.

Wow, I would think we would have heard of this by now if this were a typical problem with this case. It may be possible that your case is defective. I doubt it's your phone. You may consider taking it back to VZW and trying another one. They should have stock by now, surely.

I hope you're right...the volume rockers work perfectly fine without the case. But this is the second high-gloss case that has done this...third time is a charm?

i have had the black high gloss case for about two weeks now and i think that the fit and finish is perfect. As far as the volume rocker is concerned i do not have a problem at all, i feel that it is much better than the epic cases buttons on my bb's (whick is the same idea and material)

I got my black high gloss silicone case yesterday and, although a bit snug on the rockers, it doesn't seem to be pushing it. Works fine for me and I love the look/feel/fitment of the case.

I have the same exact issue.
I stretched the volume area out a bit.
I thought I was being paranoid.
Problem seems to be me not hitting low enough on the volume rocker.

My volume buttons are better in the case. They are so dang sensitive without the case...especially when u type in landscape. I am always hitting the button with my pinky. As of late though, my phone is without a case...I like the slim and naked feel.

I am a bit of a case freak having bought far too many for too many phones. I bought the Black Silicon VZW on release day with the phone just so I would have some protection until the "real one's" came out. WRONG! This is the by far the best case I have ever used. Feels great, adds just enough size to actually improve the fit in my hand, collects no lint and has done its job on several minor falls, only once on a ceramic floor from about 4 feet. Volume rocker works fine for me.

It has miraculously started working for me too, now. Maybe I stretched it out when I took it on and off yesterday to try and figure out what was going on. Whatever it is, I ain't taking it off again! Definitely a great case though - still offers some shock absorbency but isn't too sticky/tacky like most silicone cases, so it slides in and out of the pocket easily. Combined with an SGP Steinheil Crystal screen protector, this should be an excellent protection solution. Now if only I could protect the camera with some kind of film...
