Hi there,

New MiFi user here. When I installed the MiFi 6620L it installed as a public network on my computer (eeeks!) and I need this to be a secure network. Not having much luck understanding all the various instructions I've found by Googling. All I'm managing to do is confuse myself more.

Is there anyone that can provide some dumbed down easy-peasy instructions on how to do this? Networking is not my area of expertise and I don't need to wind up with a mess. I'd also like to change the network name and password at the same time if I could.

Thanks so much!
Deb

Just search for "6620l manual". Then follow the directions. It is pretty simple but if you are still having problems, contact Verizon wireless for assistance.

Are you saying when you connected to it, you got the pop-up asking if it was a work, home, or public network?

I got it changed by going into the Jetpack Administration and disabled the WS setting I believe it was.
