VZW May Update

Re: Note 9 camera blurry

Ok , hopefully that solves the camera issue.
Did the factory reset. Didn't help. Took it in to Ubreak ifix and it's getting the main camera replaced under warranty.

I found it interesting that if I open the camera app, the focus is blurry. Then give the phone a little shake, it focuses. Close the camera app and reopen the app. It loses focus again.

Oh well, glad it's under warranty.

I think you guys are getting confused

The update May came in June, so Samsung /carrier put out may security patch plus if any enhancements with it .

Mike you got 2
1. is may security patch
2. Was probably something Verizon push out
Dont have anything from June yet....I'm not confused

When you aren't near a cell tower or in a fringe and still have access to WiFi it works great
i guess I have never experienced that anywhere I go except farm country in Connecticut where there was no wifi either. At home and work and everywhere in between VZW signal is adequate for phone calls.

Yeah for the most part I don't need it but it does come in handy. I used it at my brother's house who lived in an area that residents fight cell towers. I also use it at a friend's cabin that has no cell service a few times a year. I also use it at random and it's great to have

I think that would indicate some confusion - on Samsung's part. Google doesn't release updates more than once a month. They couldn't just combine their patches with Google's patches? Everyone else does.
The confusion is that people are mixing up firmware updates with security updates. A firmware update is identified by its version number (for a given phone model, the last four characters suffice), whereas a security update is identified by the security patch date (usually the first of the month). A firmware update may or may not include a new security update, and may or may not include changes or additions to other features that are unrelated to security.

1. That's for Samsung - other manufacturers identify updates/patches differently.

2. There are also updates to functions - as the June Android update was. (Which Samsung probably hasn't issued yet.)

This thread went way off topic , OP complain about camera issue and we talking about updates ,which is another thread on this .
