Anyone have an idea why the VZW Pixel 6 is $100 more than the unlocked version but the Pro version is not $100 more?
Verizon Pixel 6 has the mmWave modem. Unlocked does not. All Pixel 6 Pros have the mmWave.
I use nothing but unlocked phones on Verizon.. 5G in areas where they have it no issues.. That extra $135 plus no buds makes it easy choice...
I did not see any store credit on my Verizon P6P order, that must only apply to the P6.To be fair the google store is giving $100 store credit for people buying the VZW P6P. You could use that to get the buds at no extra cost.
How do you know which phone is sold where?
I purchased the unlocked Pixel 6 256GB. I live in NYC area and have access to 5G. My current Unlocked Pixel 5 has access to both 5G networks, however, have no idea when I am actually getting the mmwave or regular 5G.
Does it make much of a difference?
With my 5 trade in, free buds, and 10% off for GoogleOne, <$300 for Pixel 6 256GB unlocked
Only the P6 bought from Verizon will have 5G wide band support. The p6 from Google only has the lower band 5G. The p6 pro has wide band support built in, so no need to go through Verizon.
Google's website lists a version of the 6 pro that doesn't have mmWave. So I don't think all Pro models have mmwave.Only the P6 bought from Verizon will have 5G wide band support. The Pro direct from Google does support mmWave
