Just to be clear, this story says that a "status update" will be shared on Monday, not the update itself. The update itself was supposed to be available by the end of October, but since it's Verizon, it's no surprise it's going to be delayed.

Eh we had 4.2.2 first. Obviously something is wrong and I would rather them work it out than push the update and have to deal with whatever is broken for a month until they fix it.

Yes it sucks, but to me it beats the alternative.

Hopefully we get 4.4. But that seems like a dream. If HTC wants to be a contender, SW updates have be part of their model or their market share will continue to shrink.

I think that's wishful thinking. Really I'd rather have the 5.5 update over the 4.3 since the Verizon model came out with 4.2 and has most of what is coming in 4.3.

Sorry reading over the posts again I thought you were saying pcabe5's statement was wishful thinking, but I see it was you who was doing the wishful thinking. 5.5 is a dream. Like 4.4 I don't think this device will see either or it'll get 5.5 when people start upgrading to new devices.
