Talked to Verizon folks on several occasions and was extremely helpful. Most all said that my problems were noted and they were working on a fix, which would come out later (May or June). Well I just did the update. Other than me watching it download, and reboot with the update I would not have known it updated.

Still cannot get a location for an accurate weather forecast. It still says Currant Location and has a 10 degree difference in temperature difference with Weather bug, which enables, exact location settings. Plus when checking on my location through the preinstalled and un-installing apps, it has my locations 12 miles away.

I new of the battery hog characteristics before purchasing, so I cannot whine about that. But other options bother me that my first smart phone is not that smart. Other than a couple trivial issues I really like the phone. I guess on a positive not a Stalker will have trouble finding me.....

Coupla things...

1) Even if the pimple faced kid at VZW CS told you there would be a forthcoming "update", don't count on it.

2) Yes, the update process was surprisingly smooth.

3) As far as the Weather app and "My Location", you're gonna see a number of differences here if you don't have official weather reporting paraphernalia on the roof of your house. The app uses a "service" to gather and display the "latest accurate reported" weather info from as close as it can to your position. This could be miles or blocks, just depends. There are tons of official weather reporting stations. If one is "down" it will use another one. Some are not 24/hr anyway. Also, WeatherBug (and others) use yet different services, resulting in different forecasts and current readings. Also, the stations "update frequencies" can be different. Anything from hourly to every minute or so, depending on the service/station used. Bottom line, this app will often vary even if you stay in the same location,. Additionally, it will often be different than other services (i.e. WeatherBug). Weather is an inexact science and is often forecast differently by different services. Even measured differently. Not to mention that Weather can differ significantly within a few miles of the same location. Very mixed bag. Don't be too quick to cry foul on the TBolt.

4) The Battery is what it is. The good news is that usually it will be better over time. Just keep using it and watch it improve (my experience).
